Fritz Lang's Metropolis

The Philadelphia Film Society, in partnership with Friends of the Wanamaker Organ and hosted by Macy’s Center City, announces a benefit screening of the newly restored Metropolis, Fritz Lang’s 1927 silent sci-fi masterpiece. Grand Court Organist Peter Richard Conte will improvise an accompaniment using the full resources of the Wanamaker Organ while incorporating many of the 'signature tunes' from the original Gottfried Huppertz score.
