Born in Tipperary, Ireland, Frank Delaney enjoyed a long and prominent career in broadcasting before becoming a full-time writer. The author of more than 20 books of fiction and nonfiction, Delaney is writing a series of historical novels that explore the history of his native country decade by decade. The series includes the New York Times bestseller Ireland, as well as Tipperary, Shannon and Venetia Kelly's Traveling Show. In his new novel, Delaney picks up the tale of Ben McCarthy, from Venetia Kelly's Traveling Show, as he finds friendship with the local matchmaker after he is devastated by the loss of his wife. Dubliner Joseph O’Connor—brother of Sinead O’Connor—is the author of several novels, including the international bestseller Star of the Sea and Redemption Falls. His seventh novel Ghost Light spent nine weeks as a no. 1 Irish bestseller. Packed with music and memories, O’Connor’s new novel Ghost Light is based loosely on the life of Molly Allgood, the Abbey Theatre actress who was the lover and muse of the great Irish playwright John Synge. Supported by Imagine Ireland, an initiative of Culture Ireland.
