CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
Introduction to Orienteering with the DVOA
April 9, 2011
Orienteering is an international sport that utilizes a detailed map to find locations in the woods. In the past many people thought of this activity as a compass activity, but it is really a map reading activity with slight compass uses. This beginner course will be navigating through the trail network at the Center. In Classroom instructions begins at 10 am followed by a course outside. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather. The walk through the woods will take about 45 minutes.
