Crabby Creek Field Study
June 4, 2011
Be an Academy scientist for the day! Bring your waders, grab a net and assist with ongoing stream research at Crabby Creek in Chester County. Collect aquatic insects and then sort, count and identify specimens of interest with the help of Jerry Mead, the Academy’s Watershed and Systems Ecology section leader, and staff scientist Michelle Brannin. Learn how stream restoration programs have impacted the health of Crabby Creek and other local streams by comparing your findings to past data.
