    Even though Sir Walter Scott never met Rebecca Gratz, legend has it that Washington Irving so vividly described her to him that he was inspired to use her as a model for Ivanhoe’s Rebecca. Join the Rosenbach Museum and Library for a speculative discussion with award-winning Irving biographer Brian Jay Jones and Susan Sklaroff, Rosenbach docent and author of a blog devoted to Rebecca Gratz.
