Martin Bisi, a New York performer and well-known record producer has been at a crossroads of indie/punk, avant garde, noire/cabaret rock, and electronic music since the early 80's, recording classic albums by Sonic Youth, Swans, John Zorn, Bill Laswell/Material, Helmet, Herbie Hancock (Rockit), Africa Bambaata, The Boredoms, The Dresden Dolls, White Zombie, Cop Shoot Cop, Foetus, Unsane and others. In his own band, Martin Bisi [band] where he plays guitar and sings, the songs incorporate story-telling and range between dark and down-tempo, and fast and light-hearted. Bisi also does unique ambient sound layering that reminds of his studio work.
Martin Bisi's band at this show will include Brian Viglione of The Dresden Dolls on drums.
