THEATRE

Red Emma by Chris Braak
February 3-February 6, 2011
Emma Goldman was one of the most important agitators for free speech, for worker's rights, and for universal compassion in American history. Iron Age Theatre presents the world premiere of a new play about Goldman’s amazing story. This new play, Red Emma written by Philadelphia playwright Chris Braak, explores not just the breadth of her ideas, but also the drama of her astonishing life. Mary Kay Tuomanen stars as Emma Goldman in the one woman show about the power of Goldman's ideas and life. Directed by John Doyle.
The play is the next in the series of social justice productions in the genre of Marx in Soho by Howard Zinn and Citizen Paine by Bill Hollenbach.
