Sonia and Disappear Fear
March 11, 2011
Join us for an intimate evening with Gene Shay, the world renowned, Grammy nominated "Grandfather of Folk" featuring stories, jokes, artist interview and an evening of stellar music, all in Philadelphia's best listening room. An optional dinner will be catered by the incomparable Avril Restaurant to round out a perfect evening of music, conversation and camaraderie. Sisters SONiA and Cindy began a musical partnership they called disappear fear, an acoustic folk-pop duo that then grew into a band in 1988. The Blood, Bones and Baltimore release tour will begin in March with a two week tour in the US followed by 3 weeks in Germany and Holland and then picking back up in the US and Canada thru the spring. Summer will include performances at festivals from Oklahoma to Toronto and end the year 2010 in Australia at the Woodford Folk Festival.
