In the morning we will visit three small distinctive gardens surrounding houses built in the 1860s, 1920s and 1954–all very different, sophisticated, quite personal, but all reflecting the theme of creating outdoor rooms. Spend the rest of the day exploring nearby attractions: the Morris Arboretum, the Wissahickon, restaurants and shops along Germantown Avenue. Registrants must supply their own transportation; carpooling is strongly recommended. Maps, directions and recommendations will be provided. Bring your lunch or enjoy local fare in nearby restaurants.
