Tom LaDuke’s paintings are derived from photographs that bring together film imagery and studio reflections, and in his later work, overpainted fragments drawn from master paintings in art history. On view in the Morris Gallery, these works evidence a complex imagination at work and Curator of Contemporary Art, Julien Robson, discusses the processes LaDuke has employed to make his paintings and highlights some of the sources of his imagery.
