Do you know of youth from grades 8 to 12 who are interested in making documentaries and want to get paid for their work? Scribe Video Center is seeking student workers for the 2011 Documentary History Project for Youth (DHPY). Scribe Video Center is looking to select 12 students from the Philadelphia area for the program. DHPY is an after-school, weekend and summertime production program for middle and high school students. The topic for this year's DHPY is City of Sound. Youth participants will be encouraged to explore the wide variety of sounds that Philadelphia creates–industrial sounds, sounds of nature, human sounds, sounds of motion, sounds of stillness–as well as learn how the soundscape of Philadelphia has changed over the centuries. The 2011 project will be completed in late September/early October.
