On Tomboy Princess, Meg Braun uses the language of fables and folk tales to illuminate the modern world. Tomboy Princess was mixed, mastered and partially recorded by Mark Dann. In a remarkably short period of time, Pat Wictor has become the name that is being chatted about on the acoustic, blues, folk and Americana circuits. Steeped in American "roots" music, Pat is a contemporary songwriter and interpreter drawing on the rural country, gospel, and blues traditions of our nation. With over a decade of writing songs and four albums under her belt, contemporary folk singer/songwriter Sharon Goldman is changing her tune–just a little bit. Well-known around the New York City area and around the East Coast for her sophisticated brand of acoustic folk/pop, Goldman’s forthcoming album, Sleepless Lullaby, offers a few twists–with a bit of country, bluegrass and Americana thrown into the melodious mix. A Long Island native and long-time New York City resident, Goldman recently returned to the suburbs–this time in New Jersey–and continues to pour her passion into songwriting, yielding intelligent, melodic and bittersweet songs of love, loss, identity and memories, which are steadily garnering a following of listeners eager for the lyrical substance and strong musicianship they miss on commercial radio.
