Four-Time Grammy Winning Master of Frame Drums Glen Velez with Rhythm Voice Virtuoso Lori Cotler extend an invitation to commune with our drumming ancestors of Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and India. Join the quest for a voice ignited by the message of drum language and the heat of pulse. Glen Velez is a four-time Grammy Award winning master percussionist and composer. He is the founding Father of the modern Frame Drum movement and is regarded as a legendary figure among musicians and audiences worldwide. Glen is the first percussionist to gain international recognition as a successful solo artist using Frame Drums and Tambourines. In performances, his hand and finger techniques, have influenced all modern frame drummers. Velez popularized this ancient drum for the modern world and re-defined the word 'Tambourine' for all who have heard him play. Lori Cotler has pioneered a new singing style that is quickly gaining her an international reputation as one of the most captivating vocalists of our time. Using exotic rhythms as her muse, she is able to execute with the human voice phrases that do not seem possible in their rhythmic speed and clarity. Lori's innovative approach to Konnakol has introduced this rare art form to a wide array of audiences, professional musicians and students alike.
