From South Camden Theatre comes a new short play about Nick Virgilio, the famous haiku poet who was a Camden, NJ resident who is widely considered as America’s greatest haiku poet. It is a three character play which takes you to the green room of the Charlie Rose Show on the night of Nick’s death of a heart attack. The characters are Nick, his writing mentor and confidant Walt Whitman and a young man Lawrence who may or may not be who he proclaims to be. The play takes you into Nick’s world and motivation and you see the heart and soul of a great poet. Bob Weick, Rocky Wilson and Matt Mezzacappa will be performing as directed by Henry Brann.
