    Berman tells the big picture story behind the Democrats' impressive electoral gains in 2006 and 2008, chronicling the improbably grassroots resurgence that propelled a longshot candidate into the White House and transformed the Democratic Party into a sizeable majority. Berman will discuss the current state of the Democratic Party as well including the recent 2011 election. Berman is a political correspondent for The Nation and his writing has appeared in the New York Times and The Guardian. Price includes brunch. Part of the Sobo Sunday Brunch Series.
