CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Glass Fusing Workshop
April 8, 2011
Explore the basics of glass art in this exciting workshop! Learn about types of glass, glass compatibility and the fusing and slumping process. Practice glass safety and gain skills with scoring and cutting glass into desired shapes. After some practice, you'll be introduced to kiln-fired basics and show you how easy and fun the process can be; it’s basically collaging with glass. Make pendants and pieces for incorporation into jewelry as well as other decorative and functional pieces like coasters, wall pieces, and dishes. You’ll fire them and you’ll pick them up and “oooh and ahhh” at how cool it is to melt glass!
