Felting is an ancient art form that actually pre-dates weaving. It is amazingly simple; wool (roving) fibers are basically matted together to bind into a fabric with either a wet (soap and water) or dry (barbed needle) process. In this exciting workshop you’ll learn both techniques, work with a luscious palette of roving colors, and even learn how to recycle old wool sweaters into new felted creations! Ages 13 & Up accompanied by a registered parent. Get into the process and create wearable's like felted beads for jewelry, scarves, and little 3-D needle felted objects. If you are a knitter, learn about turning knitted pieces into felted pieces and how to embellish your work. Felting is fun and easy to do at home, too!
