Franklin Seminar Walking Tour
March 2-November 30, 2011
Benjamin Franklin provides the lens to dissect the great changes and social and political upheaval taking place in Philadelphia during the decades preceding and following the American Revolution on this scholarly walking tour. Led by an expert in 18th century American history, you'll look deeply into the biography of Franklin and his roles as inventor, scientist, businessman, manager, politician, philosopher and patron. Along the way, we will visit sites in Old City Philadelphia that relate to this protean figure and come away with a more contextual understanding of Franklin’s impact on American history.
