Natural Studies: Close-Up Encounters--Discovering Nature Through the Macro Lens
February 6, 2011
Join ecologist and macro-photographer Steve Tessler in our classroom for an evocative one-hour visual presentation featuring the often hidden aspects of nature at Tyler Arboretum. Learn something you didn't know about our local spiders, insects, fungi, moss and other creatures, along with a lively narrative about photographing them up close. An optional walk is available for the second half of the session for those who would like to join a hunt to see what we can encounter firsthand. Each program will feature different photos and creatures. Hot beverages will be provided. If intending to join the hike, dress appropriately for the weather.
