Travels at Twelve: Botanizing in the Ecuadorian Andes
February 17, 2011
Join Andrew Bunting, Curator for the Scott Arboretum, on a birding and botanizing tour of the eastern Andes starting in the cloud forests around San Isidro at 6,500 feet; crossing over the summit of the Andes; viewing high alpine South American flora and ending on the western slope in the Cordillera de Guacamayos. This week-long trip explored many of the plant habitats that are represented in Ecuador. Space is limited to 100 people for this lecture. Free and open to the public, Travels at Twelve are an informal way to share what has been seen and discovered in various gardens and natural spaces both in the United States and abroad.
