KIDS
I Saw A Bald Eagle Soaring Over My Grocery Store
December 11, 2010
Jane Kirkland, awarding winning naturalist author and speaker, knows something about nature—both mother nature and human nature. She knows that people have lost touch with both and broken the tie that once bound them together. She also knows how people can reconnect them while helping to fix the planet. Join Tyler Arboretum for this very special opportunity to learn how you and your family can enjoy nature encounters through both spontaneous occurrences in daily life or through planned “nature breaks”. Great for kids ages 8 and older and their adults, Jane’s presentation will have you laughing, learning and motivated to get outside and discover the natural world all around you! After the program, Jane will sign copies of her Take A Winter Nature Walk book. An optional tour with Tyler Educators follows. Note to teachers: Jane’s books correlate to the PA State Academic Standards and teachers who attend will receive a free classroom poster.
