All Quiet on the Western Front
April 26, 2011
Paul is a German schoolboy seduced by the notion of fighting for his country, but once he finds himself on the Front, he is faced with the cruel realities of the First World War. Based on the German novel, this classic film sheds light on the atrocities faced in the trenches and the hardships on the home front. Shown in conjunction with the first annual Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, and their theme, "Paris, 1911".
