Falls Bridge New Movement, Improvisation and Performance Festival
January 15-January 16, 2011
| Read Reviews/Comments
The New Movement, Improvisation and Performance Festival features intensive movement improvisation workshops with K.J. Holmes at UArts and performances by K.J. & local improvisers at Mascher Space Co-op. This is a truly unique opportunity! Falls Bridge festival connects the dots as it brings together a wide range of improvisers. Is improvisation an obscure niche? Or is it a practice that trickles, gushes and spills in all directions, saturating the work of performance artists of various aesthetics, generations, mediums, schools of thought and career paths? Arts-lovers are invited to come to Mascher Space Co-op., a home for new dance in Philadelphia, and let these two separately programmed performances wash over them as they experience living, breathing, moving and sounding improvisation in that very moment. Local performers include: Chris Aiken, Adams Berzins, Nicole Bindler, Megan Bridge, Eun Jung Choi, Gene Coleman, Angie Hauser, Curt Haworth, Jung Woong Kim, Bonnie Lander, Nick Millevoi, Peter Price, Marion Ramirez, Gabrielle Revlock, Annie Wilson and Travis Woodson.
