As part of The Galleries' ongoing commitment to showcase the diversity of work produced by the Moore community, this triennial exhibition highlights a selection of faculty artists and designers drawn across departments to feature a broad range of media and disciplines from painting, sculpture, photography, installation and new media to commercial graphic design, illustration, interior design and fashion. Approximately twenty artists and designers are featured including: Katie Baldwin, Moe Brooker, Kenneth Deprez, Martha Gelarden, Jay Haon, Richard Harrington, James Johnson, Scot Kaylor, Juri Kim, Andrea Landau, Joseph Leroux, Jennifer Levonian, Gigi McGee, Rosemarie McKelvey, Anna Neighbor, Alice Oh, Amy Orr, Ryan Parker, Sylvie Shaffer, Nami Yamamato, among others to be announced.

The exhibition provides viewers with a glimpse into issues and ideas Moore instructors are currently exploring in their work, the strategies they employ in problem solving and the process they use for expanding the parameters of their practice. By focusing on the artist and designer’s methods, approach and point of view in art and/or design, the exhibition presents an opportunity to investigate the evolution of the creative process. For emerging artists and designers, the exhibition provides an opportunity to reflect upon the direction of their own work, understand the discipline required within a chosen profession and explore the ways and means they will define their voice and vision. A publication accompanies the exhibition.

The exhibition also includes a reading lounge of publications documenting exhibitions and scholarly work by Moore faculty as well as a rotating slide show of portraits and representative works of all of Moore’s Fall 2010 graduate and undergraduate faculty creating a visual portrait of the individuals at Moore who provide vital inspiration as educators and serve as role models for sustaining a creative life as an artist and designer.
