Modern Apollo is Punk/Alternative outfit from the Media area consisting of Zac Schauerman (Vocalist), Matt Falkenstein (Lead Guitar/Vocalist), Mike Shanahan (Rhythm Guitar), Nick Fassino (Bass/Vocalist), and Jake Westphal. Tracing creative roots from 90's punk and alternative, along with more current metal, hardcore, progressive, and alternative music, Modern Apollo is here to bring a sharp new edge to music.
Between Blue is a collection of friends who have come together to share their music and their lives with one another and with whoever else will lend an ear. Amidst a folk-touched flurry of layered guitarwork and an inventive rhythm section, harmonized vocals simmer (and sometimes pop) to the surface with joy, lament, and honesty. The band's distinctly collaborative songwriting brings in sounds and styles from multiple genres, though each song eventually weaves those elements together into something authentic and whole. Above all, Between Blue wants to write some music that talks about life—life with all of its beauties, disasters, and unrelenting mercies that never seem to quit.
