Philadelphia, PA – She was the first African American woman ever to sit on a major symphony orchestra, and now after 40 years with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, principal harpist Ann Hobson Pilot, still very active in her retirement, will return to her alma mater to perform at Settlement Music School's Distinguished Alumni Concert on Sunday, November 21 at 3pm. She will be joined by BBC New Generation Artist Tai Murray, violin. Tickets are $20 each and includes a post concert reception with the artists. Settlement students and faculty are admitted free. The reception is sponsored by The Links Incorporated, Penn Towne Chapter, an organization of women committed to enriching the culture and economic survival of African ancestry.
