The Wagner Free Institute of Science presents “Looking into the Future: Global Climate Change and Ecosystems”, an illustrated presentation by Dr. Clint Springer, Assistant Professor of Biology at Saint Joseph’s University. Human activities, such as fossil fuel use and changes in land use, are causing unprecedented changes in the Earth’s climate. These changes are having–and will have in the future–significant effects on nearly every aspect of ecosystems, including plants, microbes, insects and animals. Dr. Springer will discuss the causes of climate change and summarize the current understanding of the impacts of these changes. Come early to explore the Wagner’s National Historic Landmark building and unparalleled collections. This program is part of the Institute’s evening lecture series, “Weeknights at the Wagner".
