Led by Pete Kennedy, who has worked with just about every top artist in folk music, this workshop is aimed at singer-songwriters, intermediate guitarists and anyone who would like to get out of a rut, or simply take their playing to the next level. In a casual, no-pressure atmosphere, Pete will show you techniques for relaxation and flexibility, new chord voicings to open up your sound, triad fingerings to take your playing "up the neck", a simple key to the modes and scales that will unlock a world of melodies, right hand picking pattern to expand your rhythmic pallet and harmonic tricks that will bring your instrument to life with new tone colors. These techniques are all easy to play and you can start using them right away! My lifelong love affair with the guitar started at the circus and who knows, maybe someday it will end up there. Been in the same room with the Beatles, Hendrix, Buffalo Springfield, the Doors or Duke Ellington. Jammed with Joe Pass or Doc Watson. Played a few riffs behind Stevie Wonder. Toured with Nanci Griffith...and the list goes on.
