    Family Arts Academy offers weekend workshops and classes for families, as well as art career mentoring, all targeted to families with students in Philadelphia public schools (all activities are also open to the broader public). Meet Kamal Gray, the talented keyboard player form "The Roots." You will have a chance to ask him questions about his music career and life and sign copies of their latest CD, "How I Got Over." A limited number of copies will be available for purchase at PAFA the day of the event. Then learn how to make your own arty percussion instruments to take home with you.

        All workshops are FREE to students and their families in the Philadelphia School District!
        Other families are FREE with Museum Admission, but children 12 and under are always FREE with a paying adult.
