Family Arts Academy offers weekend workshops and classes for families, as well as art career mentoring, all targeted to families with students in Philadelphia public schools (all activities are also open to the broader public).

This week, students will learn the basics for drawing animals by drawing a full-size carriage horse - the same one that PAFA art students draw in class! Participants will use charcoal and pencil on paper and learn to create proportions, anatomy and texture. Students can add their own background and people for a personal touch! Instructor: Peter van Dyck
