P.M. @ Penn Museum: Turkish Marbling Class
September 29, 2010
Brought to Turkey in the 15th Century, marbling is the art of creating floating pictures on top of a floating water bath. After selecting and applying paint, swirling patterns of color are created using special tools known as rakes and combs. Come join the Penn Museum every Wednesday for “P.M. @ Penn Museum” as the galleries stay open late, with different programming every week, including Chef’s Corner on first Wednesdays; Quizzo on second Wednesdays; Live Music and Dance on third Wednesdays; and Class Nights on fourth and fifth Wednesdays. Plus Happy Hour bar at the Pepper Mill Café!
