If you are a reptile fan or just curious about snakes, lizards, and turtles, come to the Arboretum for an afternoon to get up-close and personal with these fascinating creatures. You will get to see and, if you like, touch a variety of snakes and lizards and learn about what their lives are really like. You will find out, for example, that snakes are really dry and smooth and not slimy, and that they use their tongues to smell. Mr. Galloway will bring in two types of Australian lizards and a variety of different non-venomous snakes, including a Trans-Pecos rat snake, a ball python and a Colombian boa, and he will share lots of information learned from years of studying, observing and caring for these special animals.
