Bug Adventure
October 17, 2010
Join us for a bug adventure and uncover the exciting world of the smallest creatures in the garden! Explore the Arboretum and find the places where insects like to live. Insects can cause damage but they can also be good for the garden. Learn about the habits and habitats of beneficial insects. Come meet slimy snails and slugs. We will demonstrate how you can build a worm bin. By letting worms eat your food wastes, you’ll end up with one of the best soil amendments available—worm castings. For children five to nine years of age.
