Invasive plants are a constant problem for anyone involved in the landscape industry. This course will help you identify and control invasive plants common in this region. Once invasives are removed they should be replaced with appropriate native species. Larry is a nationally-recognized leader in meadow restoration and the use of native plants in designed landscapes. He will provide information gathered over many years in the field on good plants to use in a variety of situations and will share practical planting techniques he has found to be successful. An outdoor session in the Arboretum’s living collection and handouts will be provided so you can learn to identify plants in the field. Larry Weaner has been a practicing landscape designer since 1977. He founded Larry Weaner Landscape Design Associates in 1982, a firm that has earned a national reputation for its work combining environmental science and garden design. This course carries 5.5 CEUs for ISA arborists and 6 CEUs for PA landscape architects.  Instructor Larry Weaner Principal, Larry Weaner Landscape Design Associates
