The Delaware College of Art and Design welcomes the community to its sixth Drawing Marathon, created to develop your artistic vision, sharpen your skills, and energize your studio experience through figure drawing. DCAD’s event is inspired by the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting & Sculpture which founded the Drawing Marathon 20 years ago with the belief that drawing is the basis of understanding of one’s experience of the world. Today, drawing marathons are a worldwide trend, spanning the U.S. and globe. For this special event, DCAD’s Toni & Stuart B. Young Gallery in DCAD’s historic landmark building will be transformed into a 5,000-square-foot studio where you will work alongside DCAD’s faculty, staff, students and artists of all experience levels. Come for one hour or stay for all 12!Please bring your own drawing or painting supplies.
