An evening of short plays, all set in offices! Hilarity abounds as these very different shows show us all the wild and crazy activities that take place in some offices we've all known, and some that exist only in the imagination...

We open with A Day for Surprises, John Guare's hilarious little gem set in the pasting room of the New York Public Library, which begins with the discovery that one of the stone lions has left its perch out front and is currently in the ladies' room, having devoured one of the staff. Then comes Box Office, Elinor Jones' one-man tale of Jerry Jennings, who's working the box office for an off-Broadway hit, trying to break up with his lover, help his friend Cathy with her problems, and re-order his life--all while dealing with the absurd and comically demanding requests of the theater patrons! Carl Morse's charmer Annunciation is next, in which a very pregnant office worker is visited by a man from Personnel (or is he really?) who has some interesting revelations about her soon-to-arrive baby - a sweetly amusing exploration of sexual orientation and people's reactions to it. The evening closes with Jean Giraudoux's classic fable The Apollo of Bellac (in a little-seen translation by Alex Szogyi), set in the Bureau of Inventions, in which the mysterious man from Bellac teaches young Agnes the secret to dealing with men--specifically the gruff and dismissive men who run the bureau. (It's really very simple, and you might learn a trick or two!)

Our amazing cast (including many Quince veterans) takes you on a wild ride through love, life, death, birth, sex, beauty, and about every other concept known to mankind.
