Lunch & Learn: Art and Architecture of Memorial Hall
September 20, 2010
Please Touch Museum isn't just for kids anymore! Grownups can now enjoy the Lunch and Learn Series, featuring illustrated lectures on a variety of topics and behind-the-scenes tours of Memorial Hall. Designed as one of the first buildings in the US in the Beaux Arts style, Memorial Hall is an internationally significant building cloaked in symbolism, meaning and history. Learn about this National Historic Landmark's history and architecture and view some of the art that has filled its galleries since 1876. The program features a lunch followed by a tour of the building with the museum's Curator of Collections.
