Philly Swap is a giant, community-wide clothing swap that brings hundreds of people together to shop, swap, reuse and recycle. In addition to unlimited swapping, attendees can watch craft and construction demonstrations, learn about local artist and designers at the community partner tables, have one of their finds transformed by a local artist at a silk screening station, or sit in on a talk about sustainable changes in the garment industry. In its third year, Philly Swap has outgrown their space, moved to a bigger and most fabulous location and expanded its programming. Plus, a portion of the proceeds goes to the Village of Arts & Humanities and all leftover clothing will be donated amongst the community partners. Everyone is invited to purchase your ticket, clean out your closets and bring your gently worn, clean clothing and accessories to this year's swap. Over 500 attendees are anticipated this year! Everyone is encouraged not to miss the opportunity to connect locally, explore creatively and reuse responsibly with Philly Swap 2010!
