Join us at the Scott Arboretum’s Fall Festival for Eric T. Fleisher, the director of horticulture at spectacular Battery Park City in lower Manhattan, visited by 10 to 12 million people each year. A national leader in the field of sustainable horticulture, he has brought this 37-acre oasis of parkland on the Hudson River to the forefront as the only public garden space in New York City to be maintained completely organically. A 2008 Loeb Fellow at Harvard University, he has also served as a consultant to Harvard University, the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy in Boston, Bowdoin College, and Mount Auburn Cemetery and now Scott Arboretum. He began consulting at the Scott Arboretum in 2010 to help determine an organic approach to lawn management. Mr. Fleisher will weave together twenty-first century gardening topics in this lecture from: feed stock management, composting practices, recipes, compost tea, beneficial bacteria, and the overall web of life in the garden.

Free and open to the public, join us for a reception following the lecture. RSVP by clicking here6 or calling 610-328-8025. Join the Associates of the Scott Arboretum to receive your plant dividend this year, Tulip batalinii ‘Bronze Charm’.
