The arts come alive in this popular intergenerational art class, where adults and children work side by side. Students and parents will spend time in several permanent and special exhibition Michener galleries as they further develop their creativity and express themselves through art. Students and parents will spend time in the museum and art studio exploring art materials, developing aesthetic skills, building an arts vocabulary, and having fun. Drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media are explored in every Family Sundays session. Families are encouraged to register for fall, winter and spring sessions. Many families begin this program when their children are three, and leave when they turn seven and head to first grade! Lessons continue to build on one another throughout the year! (ages 3-6 with one adult)
