    Nazir Ebo has a tough act to follow. His older brother, 19 year-old drummer Justin Faulkner, already has a list of credentials long enough to make musicians twice his age green with jealousy. Last year Justin finished his senior year of high school on the road while he toured with Branford Marsalis. Luckily, it seems that 10-year-old Nazir isn’t fazed by his brother’s glory, only inspired. “When I was about five I would listen to songs Justin played in his band, and then try to remember all of them and play them,” Nazir recalls. When he had gotten enough practice on Justin’s drums —seizing any moment, the boys’ mother bought Nazir his own set. Now Nazir has taken over an end of the Faulkner’s living room as his own domain, and supplies the neighborhood around 51st and Walton Avenue with the breathtaking sounds of his drumbeats— after he’s finished his homework!

        Jazz Nights are all-inclusive evenings featuring: 8 to 10 pm – Hors d’oeuvre reception and galleries open Hearty appetizers and desserts by Havana Catering. Refreshments by River Horse Brewing Company and Sand Castle Winery. 8:30 to 11 pm – Concert with one intermission
