There’s still time to eke out the last vestiges of summer with a visit to Morris Arboretum and its Best of Philly 2010 award winning, Tree Adventure. Enjoy the summer wind from 50 feet above the ground on the 450 foot canopy walk, Out On a Limb. There you can climb through the squirrel scramble and run your hands along the “twigs” of the giant bird’s nest. Continue your Tree Adventure with a stop at Oak Allée and learn about trees’ root systems. Next, stroll to the Springhouse to analyze nature’s temperature changes and then meander over to the Log Cabin to learn how people rely on trees to provide shelter, and find and store food.
