Experience the sights and sounds of the Civil War as Union and Confederate soldiers re-enact drills and skirmishes. Tour soldiers’ encampments to see how they lived. Learn about life on the home front. See a cannon being fired. Talk to authentically costumed soldiers and the wives and family members who joined them to cook, launder, mend uniforms and provide support. Browse goods brought by sutlers, merchants who followed the army to sell provisions to soldiers and buy something for yourself. Bring a blanket and picnic basket and enjoy the shade of our lovely black walnut trees alongside our babbling creek.
