Based on Li Cunxin’s autobiographical book, Mao's Last Dancer focuses on Cunxin’s struggle for freedom and happiness in America, though the joy he finds through dancing and love may not be enough to prevent his forced return to China. Ballet sensation Chi Cao portrays Cunxin, with Bruce Greenwood and Kyle MacLachlan co-starring. This event is shown in conjunction with the "Shall We Dance?" series.
