We join the new PIFA Festival and its celebration of 20th-century Paris and 21st-century Philadelphia with Stravinsky's effervescent Concerto in D for String Orchestra, two new works by Philadelphians Sarah Dubois and Gerald Levinson, and sensuous masterpieces by Debussy and Dutilleux, Danses, sacrée et profane and Mystère de l'instant, respectively. The latter will have ten visual artists' reactions to the composer's ten miniature tone poems projected behind the orchestra.
