    This course will focus on female and Jewish identities through the writings of twentieth- and twenty-first-century Jewish American women. Texts will include works by authors including Anzia Yezierska, Mary Antin, Tillie Olsen, Grace Paley, Cynthia Ozick and others. You will explore the complex figure of the Jewish American woman in numerous roles, such as reader, writer, mother and daughter.   Instructor: Dr. Tresa Grauer.
