The Jewish Farm School's Urban Sustainability Bet Midrash
September 20-November 29, 2010
This six week adult education series will engage participants directly through text study, discussion and hands-on activities that address the deep relationship between Judaism and the natural world. Throughout the series, participants will explore contemporary environmental issues and how to live a greener life through a religious and spiritual lens, with topics such as The Agricultural Roots of the Jewish Calendar. These sessions will include hands-on workshops and teach participants skills of sustainability within a Jewish context.
