    California’s Brad Howe (

) will bring his kinetic sculptures to the Community Arts Center in September and October 2010 for his East Coast debut exhibition. Howe says that his structures “are composed with actual or implied kinetic properties aimed at exposing energized moments between connection and disconnection, as well as between strain and serenity.” This international artist has exhibited his work in Brazil, France, Germany, Mexico, South Korea, Switzerland, and all over the United States. This exhibition focuses on objects that move and will be a first for the Community Arts Center, made possible by the soaring spaces of the new Duke Gallery. Workshop on September 18, noon-5 pm: Making Magnificent Mobiles with Brad Howe.
