KIDS

Pollinator Power
September 11, 2010
The Wagner Free Institute of Science is participating in the Philadelphia Honey Festival, a celebration of urban gardening and beekeeping. “Pollinator Power!” will be an afternoon buzzing with family fun–including a lesson for children ages 6-12 about the importance of pollinators in our lives, musical entertainment, bee-themed crafts, and scavenger hunts. Honey and hive product vendors and the debut of the Institute’s new native pollinator garden will sweeten the day for all who attend. Vendors, music, free Häagen-Dazs ice cream, and crafts. Explore new Native Pollinator Garden in the side-yard. The children’s presentation will be American Sign Language interpreted.
