An intriguing hybrid among printmaking techniques, monoprints are neither a print nor a painting, but a unique combination of both. It is one image (mono) painted with water-based inks onto any surface that will transfer the image onto paper. In this class, students will learn the beauty of monoprints using the pin press to create colorful and unique prints, and discover the techniques and materials necessary to allow them to set up an inexpensive printing studio at home. This workshop is led by Christine Stoughton.
